How to Choose Custom Team Windbreakers

Matching windbreakers make a team look professional and keep players warm between sessions. Here is what to check before you order.

1. Shell fabric and lining

A windbreaker’s job is to stop wind, so look for a tightly woven polyester shell. A light inner lining adds warmth and comfort without bulk, which is ideal for touchline and training wear.

2. Hood, hem and cuffs

An attached hood with a drawcord and an elastic drawcord hem with a toggle let players seal out wind. These small details make a big difference on cold match days.

3. Pockets

Zippered hand pockets stop phones and keys falling out. A sleeve pocket is useful for cards, earbuds or a locker key.

4. Printing vs embroidery

Printing is best for large back designs, names and numbers. Embroidery gives a premium look for small chest crests and sponsor logos. Many teams combine both.

5. Names and numbers

Individual names and numbers turn a jacket into team kit. Send a spreadsheet with each player’s name, number and size to avoid mistakes.

6. Minimum order and lead time

At Hilene International custom orders start at 1,000 pieces and take about 15–25 days after design approval. Order early if you have a season start or tournament date.
